Cruelty Free

Welcome guys to another post for this week!

I have always wondered what the little bunny on makeup brands signify and what they actually mean? Do you guys maybe know what it means. Well if you do not, you will find out in today's post what it means to be cruelty free and what products are there that you should be purchasing from.

Cruelty Free.

Is a label that can be found on products that do not test on animals by either harming or killing them.

“Every product, every action, and every lifestyle decision can be a choice to harm less.”

— Zoe Weil, The Animals' Agenda

Cruelty free is seen as one of the main concerns in the beauty industry and will be in the future. We as beauty blogers, makeup artist and even you at home can make a difference by buying products that are cruelty free and supporting the cruelty free company.

Products:
Companies now offer a wide range of cruelty-free products such as cosmetics, personal-care products, household cleaners, clothing, shoes etc. Organisations such as PETA they Choose  to be Cruelty Free. Since the 1990s the Leaping Bunny has been the only international third-party cruelty-free certification program.

What defines cruelty free?

For a product to be cruelty free, there should be no form of animal testing at any point in the creation of a brands products. It’s common for companies to not test the final product on animals, but to test it along the way or to use ingredients that have been tested on animals by a third-party. This means that the finished products are tested on animals by a third-party to comply with various regional laws around the world. These products, no matter what the packaging says, are not cruelty free!

LIST OF CRUELTY FREE MAKEUP BRANDS:

There are thousands of cruelty-free brands available today. Here is a list of cruelty free makeup brands you can also check online at PETA for a full list of cruelty/ vegan free brands: Companies that do not test on Animals

If you aren’t sure about a product, it’s always a good idea to contact the company itself and ask flat-out if they test on animals in any way during the creation of the process. Most companies who do not test on animals and whose suppliers do not test will give you a prompt reply stating so. If you do not receive a reply, or if the reply gives you an unclear answer, then it’s best to not purchase products from this company just to be safe.

I hoped that you feel inspired and motivated to use cruelty free brands. Either than letting animals be hurt or abused. Lets stand up for what we believe in and make this beauty world a better place.
